Practice your own faith
Geneva - Those who engage in wars of religion do not put their own faith into practice, the Dalai Lama recently told an interfaith congregation at St. Pierre Cathedral in Geneva. The service was part of a major effort to make the cathedral a center for inter-faith dialogue, according to Ecumenical News International. Switzerland has about 2,500 Tibetan residents, the biggest Tibetan community in Europe. "It's not enough to belong to a religion," the Dalai Lama said. "You have to experience it. Spirituality is like a medicine. To heal the illness, it is not sufficient to look at the medicine and talk about it. You have to ingest it."

Divorce rate down - for some
Chicago - The divorce rate for adult children of divorced parents has declined over the past two decades, a new study has found. While divorce has become more accepted in American society, the gap in the divorce rates of adults whose parents were divorced and those whose parents were not, has also narrowed, according to the American Sociological Association. In 1973, children of divorce were nearly three times as likely to divorce as were those from intact families, the study said. By 1996, that number was down to 50 percent more likely.

More than hot air: Balloon seeks antimatter
Washington - It may sound like science fiction, but it's really just cutting-edge science. NASA launched a 60-story-high balloon to the upper fringes of Earth's atmosphere to collect precious particles of some of the rarest stuff in the universe - antimatter - and, just possibly, evidence that anti-galaxies exist. Scientists study antimatter to understand structure and energy processes in the universe. Carrying a Japanese-built instrument, NASA's largest balloon - 39 million cubic feet - lifted off from Canada's Lynn Lake, Manitoba, last week for a 38-hour flight 20 miles above the earth.
