Put your party on the Internet

Need help organizing a holiday party? You can get it online. New event-planning Web sites provide all the services for a successful party. You can post schedules and guest lists, keep track of your budget and to-do list, set up a gift registry, and even get expert advice about putting on an event. You can also quickly send out a batch of e-mails to invitees.

Guests can find a map of the party's location online and also RSVP to the Web site. And once the party's over, the Web page remains up for you and your guests to post party photos and captions on.

Free Web sites that allow you to do this include www.event411.com, which specializes in party planning, and www.myevents.com, which offers a wider range of services.
