- Ohio State Sen. Robert Hagan, who is challenging US Rep. James Traficant in the Democratic primary. Traficant often says "beam me up" in floor speeches, a phrase made famous by the "Star Trek" TV series. Hagan's brother Tim recently married actress Kate Mulgrew, who plays Starfleet Capt. Kathryn Janeway on "Star Trek: Voyager" and has promised to cut a TV spot for her new brother-in-law.
