E-mail trumps 'snail mail'

A new survey conducted by American Greetings Corp. reports that two-thirds of e-mail users prefer reading e-mail over regular mail, and a growing majority prefers e-mail to the telephone.

Among other findings:

*71 percent of Americans check their e-mail at least once a day.

*76 percent think good

e-mail etiquette is as important as good table manners.

*34 percent are more likely to read their personalized e-mail before their business e-mail.
