The Big 10 mutual funds

At the end of the first quarter, Fidelity's Magellan Fund was the only mutual fund with $100 billion in net assets. The Vanguard 500 Index trailed closely behind with $98.6 billion, but it reportedly surpassed Magellan in the first few days of the second quarter, and is now holding $107.2 billion in assets.

Both funds have nearly doubled their total assets in the past five years.
