Grill indoors or out

Former boxer George Foreman's grills may be the hottest infomercial product since the Nordic Track.

His latest offering is an electric grill for cooking out on the deck or, if you prefer, in the living room (ideally not too close to the smoke detector). The surface of the "Big George" is nonstick and removable. The temperature is adjustable.

For hungry campers, there's enough surface space to cook 12 burgers at once.

Just don't iron in your car

First, the purveyors of portability offered phones, then computers. Now, from Oreck, come irons.

The New Orleans manufacturer's speed iron is "cord optional." Users can manipulate it around all those tough-to-reach places - think shirt cuffs and collars.

The storage cradle powers it for up to a minute of cordless use. (It takes only about five seconds to recharge.) An eight-foot cord is included for day-to-day use.

One nice touch: a vertical boost of steam for draperies and hanging clothes.

Keeping clean at the movies

Licking your fingers in a crowded theater may be almost as off-putting as letting your cellphone ring during a climactic scene.

Solution? Unilever Home & Personal Care recently began offering its Lever 2000 hand wipes on 3 million popcorn bags in Loews, United Artists, and Regal movie theaters nationwide.

Moviegoers have the option of using the wipes in the theater or taking them home.

Price: Free, with your bag of outrageously priced popcorn.
