WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

There are frivolous lawsuits, and then there's the 125-page gem filed by Chad Gabriel DeKoven, an inmate at Standish (Mich.) Maximum Security Facility. For starters, his petition demands a full pardon, peace in the Middle East, the return of all US troops based overseas within 90 days - and that he be treated as "Messiah-God." State Judge David Lawson dismissed it as "devoid of merit," but did concede that it was neatly typed.

The New Yorker cleans up on top magazine honors, again

For the second year in a row, The New Yorker dominated the National Magazine Awards, winning five "Ellies." They are given by the American Society of Magazine Editors. Selected winners:
