Clarification

In an article on America's black Muslims in the Feb. 14, 2002, Monitor, a quote from Anthony Pinn, a professor at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., included the words "harmful and even demonic rhetoric espoused by Reverend Farrakhan." In that phrase, Professor Pinn was describing how others might view the rhetoric of Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam. Mr. Pinn was not describing his own views.
