Sarah Palin will soon be on a holiday season book tour.

Starting next week, the former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate will be promoting her new book, "Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas." Publisher HarperCollins announced Tuesday that Palin's tour will begin Nov. 12 at a Barnes & Noble in Bethlehem, Pa., and end Dec. 7 at a Barnes & Noble in Roanoke, Va.

The title of her book comes from the new testament of the Bible, when an angel appeared unto shepherds in the field to announce the birth of Christ Jesus:  Luke 2:10: "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people."

Here's how Harper Collins describes the book:

In her New York Times bestsellers Going Rogue and America by Heart, Sarah Palin revealed the strong Christian faith that has guided her life and family. In Good Tidings and Great Joy she calls for bringing back the freedom to express the Christian values of the season. She asserts the importance of preserving Jesus Christ in Christmas—in public displays, school concerts, pageants, and our expressions to one another other—and laments the over-commercialization and homogenization of Christmas in today's society.

Similar to previous Palin book tours, she will skip New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and other major metropolitan areas. Stops include military posts in Fort Campbell, Ky., and Fort Benning, Ga.; a Costco in Plano, Texas; and a Wal-Mart in Wausau, Wis.

Palin's other books are the best-sellers "Going Rogue" and "America by Heart."
