Skeletons at the Feast
March 17, 2009
Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjalian is an interesting perspective on World War II and the identity of the German people. While the cover and the flap may give it the appearance of a love story, it is really a historical narrative of hope, belief, perseverance, trust, followership, and nationalism. The author was meticulous in his research; the style of writing is open, flowing, and inviting and gives the reader a clear visual of the life of German people during these troubling times. A must read!
