House of Cards

I'd  highly recommend House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street by William D. Cohan. It's an excellent inside story of the failure of Bear Sterns and the personalities involved. It's a must-read to understand the rot on Wall Street.
