Let Slip the Dogs of War

Let Slip the Dogs of War by John W. Connor is a page-turner of a book that reveals the chilling and precarious mission of the US Army secret combat unit The Raiders, deployed in the mountainous terrain of the Korean peninsula during the extremely exceptionally violent first year of the Korean War. Dr. Connor gives us a direct exposure to the these volunteer soldiers, hastily mustered on, June 25th 1950, in response to North Korea's invasion of South Korea. He has brilliantly "embedded" the reader into the hell and heroics of a cadre of incomparable combat soldiers.
