Richard Watson's The Philosopher's Diet: How to Lose Weight & Change the World is such a delight, I read in it often. This small book (109 pages) is a gem for its philosophy (yes, he really is a philosopher), common sense and humor, even if you are not wanting to lose weight. But if you are, he tells it straight: "You must make a commitment to this one thing. You must change your life." And, "You must do it on your own." And his advice: "How should you live? "Eat less. Have fun, but try not to hurt anyone." I can't wait to read his other books (all 12)
