Reader recommendation: The Amateurs

If you want a poignantly drawn, compelling story of fallible humans and ordinary heroes, I highly recommend picking up Marcus Sakey’s The Amateurs. I was given a copy as a gift and began reading it immediately. I was propelled almost breathlessly through it, to the stunning denouement, in just a few days. I am still shaking my head in wonder and amazement at this clever, wrenching, but deftly crafted book.
