Harry Potter’s coming to the West Coast.

After the success of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios Orlando, Universal Studios announced this week that it would be opening a Potter park at the Universal Studios location in Hollywood.

“[It’s] probably the best holiday gift we could give to the legions of Harry Potter fans worldwide,” Barry Meyer, the Warner Bros. chairman, told Reuters.

“Everyone involved with these projects is committed to continuing the enchantment of J.K. Rowling's masterful books as they were brought to life on screen in our eight films and dedicated to extending the magic of the experience for generations of fans to come,” Meyer said.

The new park was announced at an event held at Universal Studios Hollywood on Tuesday, where glasses of butterbeer, the frothy drink (without any alcohol) from J.K. Rowling’s series, was served.

The new park will be built around a structure resembling the Hogwarts castle where Harry and his friends go to school and is planned to have park rides based off the books as well as stores and places for park attendees to get a meal. Universal executives did not say which, if any, of the attractions from Florida would be recreated in the new Hollywood location.
