Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari will publish a book that looks at romance today.

The book will be an “investigation,” according to Ansari, that delves into “an entirely new era for singles, in which the basic issues facing a single person – whom we meet, how we meet them, and what happens next – have been radically altered by new technologies.”

Ansari’s book will be released through Penguin Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Democrats begin soul-searching – and finger-pointing – after devastating loss

“So much of Aziz Ansari's brilliant humor comes from grasping the hidden forces that govern our everyday lives,” vice president and publisher of the Penguin Press Scott Moyer said in a statement. “I'm delighted but not surprised that he is the one who is going to make sense of the strange new world that singles have to navigate today.”

The book is set to be released in September 2015.

Ansari has starred as government worker Tom Haverford on the NBC comedy “Parks and Recreation” for five seasons.
