Amazon creates imprint for Christian works
Both fiction and nonfiction will be released through the imprint, which is titled Waterfall Press.
Amazon has added another imprint to its stable: its newest is titled Waterfall Press and will focus on Christian works.
The imprint will release both fiction and nonfiction. Amazon Publishing is also the home of 47North, which centers on sci-fi, horror, and fantasy; Thomas & Mercer, which releases mysteries and thrillers; and AmazonEncore, which republishes older works, and others.
Books released under the WaterFall Press imprint will be published by Brilliance Publishing, which is part of Amazon.
“Waterfall Press non-fiction will aim to provide spiritual refreshment and inspiration to today’s Christian reader, while fiction will include stories in the romance, mystery, and suspense genres,” Amazon said in a press release.
As pointed out by NPR, Christian publishing is one of the most lucrative branches in the market today.
“It's a popular industry right now, especially among the evangelical line,” Win Bassett, a seminarian and writer at the Yale Divinity School, told NPR.
