A trailer has been released for the upcoming film adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s memoir “Wild.”

The book details Strayed’s experience of taking a solo hike along the Pacific Crest Trail, for a distance of more than a thousand miles, after going through a divorce and experiencing the death of her mother. “Wild” was published in 2012 and the movie version will star “Mud” actress Reese Witherspoon as Strayed, “The Fault in Our Stars” actress Laura Dern as her mother, and Thomas Sadoski of the HBO TV show “The Newsroom,” among others.

The movie is being directed by Jean-Marc Vallee, who was behind the Best Picture-nominated 2013 film “Dallas Buyers Club,” and was adapted for the screen by author and screenwriter Nick Hornby, who received an Oscar nomination for his script for the 2011 movie "An Education."

Tracing fentanyl’s path into the US starts at this port. It doesn’t end there.
