'The Emperor of All Maladies' comes to TV

The book 'The Emperor of All Maladies' won the Pulitzer Prize for literature in the nonfiction category. The TV adaptation of the award-winning book debuts on PBS on March 31.

An adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book “The Emperor of All Maladies” is coming to TV. 

“Emperor,” which is by Siddhartha Mukherjee, was first released in 2010 and centers on cancer. The book won the Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction and is being adapted as a miniseries for PBS, which debuts on March 30. 

It is airing as a six-part series which will be on TV on March 30, 31, and April 1.

Barak Goodman, who previously directed “Frontline” episodes and “The American Experience,” is directing the adaptation.
