We now have a cover and a release date for Mindy Kaling’s upcoming book of essays “Why Not Me?”

“Me” will be released on Sept. 29, according to Kaling. Check out the cover above.

Kaling released her book “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?” in 2011 and the book is still at number 12 on The New York Times celebrities bestseller list for the week of May 10. As we previously reported, she said she would be writing a follow-up book during a South by Southwest panel.

Tracing fentanyl’s path into the US starts at this port. It doesn’t end there.

According to the publisher, the new book includes “Kaling shar[ing] her ongoing journey to find contentment and excitement in her adult life, whether it’s falling in love at work, seeking new friendships in lonely places, attempting to be the first person in history to lose weight without any behavior modification whatsoever, or most important, believing that you have a place in Hollywood when you’re constantly reminded that no one looks like you.”

Kaling created and stars on the Fox sitcom “The Mindy Project.”
