Dana Perino's 'And the Good News Is...' becomes a top seller
Former press secretary Perino's memoir is currently near the top of multiple bestseller lists. It was released this past April.
Former press secretary Dana Perino has scored a bestseller with her new book “And the Good News Is…”
Perino, who served as press secretary under George W. Bush and now appears on Fox News, released her book “Good” on April 21. It details her time in Washington as well as offering advice to readers on how to succeed in life.
“Good News” has also received some positive reviews, with Barnes & Noble singling it out as an “editor’s recommendation” title. “Unpretentious yet insightful,” B&N wrote, while Kirkus Reviews wrote that “Perino ... spreads sunshine in a book from which even Fox News haters could extract some useful nuggets.... [Perino's] relentless cheerfulness will make readers wish that politicians of every bent were just a little kinder to each other.”
The book is selling well and is currently ranked at number six on B&N, while it’s at number four on Amazon. It’s doing even better according on The New York Times bestseller list, which puts it at number two on the its combined print and e-book nonfiction list for the week of May 17 and at number three on the hardcover nonfiction list.
