Black Friday Xbox One deals: Don't buy yours without a bundled gift card

The last time Black Friday rolled around, the Xbox One was a distinctly bad buy. But that's not the case these days. Gamers shopping for a next-gen system on Black Friday can feel good about adding an Xbox One to their cart.

The last time Black Friday rolled around, the Xbox One was a distinctly bad buy. But that's not the case these days. In fact, Kotaku re-reviewed Microsoft's flagship console recently and came away impressed. Citing significantly patched software and a robust library of games, the reviewer concluded that "the Xbox One has come a long way in a year, and is now worth your time and money."

Clearly, gamers shopping for a next-gen system on Black Friday can feel good about adding an Xbox One to their cart. Retailers seem to agree: We've seen significantly more exciting Black Friday ads for Xbox One deals, as compared to relatively boring PS4 ads. In order to make sure you score only the very best offers, we've rounded up our favorite Xbox One ads below.

The Best Black Friday Xbox One Ads

Xbox One Kinect Bundle with a $100 goHastings Gift Card for $429.99 at goHastings
Looking for the cheapest Xbox One console that includes the Kinect? Dark horse retailer GoHastings will have the best deal around, thanks to this game-less bundle that nevertheless includes a hefty $100 gift card. Assuming you'll use the gift card, that brings the price to $40 below our Black Friday prediction for the Xbox One with Kinect — a bargain by any measure!

Xbox One Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle with a $50 Target Gift Card for $330 at Target
This Assassin's Creed bundle has shown up in almost every major Black Friday ad, but only Target will offer a super-sweet $50 gift card to go along with your purchase. (Of course, we still don't know what this Amazon Xbox One bundle will be.) The bundle includes the brand-new Assassin's Creed Unity, as well as the massively popular Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, in addition to the 500GB console.

Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle with a $30 Walmart Gift Card for $329 at Walmart
Although Target's bundle offers a bigger gift card, shoppers might think twice about dropping so much cash on a game with such a mediocre Metacritic score. Also, this doorbuster comes with four Halo games (as opposed to the other bundle's two), access to a beta, and more. The $30 gift card can even be used to further bulk up your Xbox One collection; Walmart will also have select Xbox One titles on sale from $20 during Black Friday.

Alien: Isolation Nostromo Edition for Xbox One or PS4 for $29.99 at Best Buy
There are going to be tons of amazing video game deals on Black Friday, but this one stands out. Not only is this survival horror game almost universally praised by critics and fans alike, but it hasn't seen any major discounts since a preorder deal way back in August. Best Buy will knock 50% off this AAA title on Thanksgiving, a full $10 below GameStop's price and our prediction for current-gen games.

Nyko Xbox One Dual Controller Charge Base for $14.99 at Kmart
Keeping your controllers charged is a necessary, if boring, bit of gamer maintenance. Kmart's deal is the cheapest offer we've seen on any dual-controller charging base on Black Friday, outside of this AAFES deal for military service members. Not only does this doorbuster beat out similar deals at GameStop and goHastings, but it's also $5 under our previous low for an Xbox One controller charging base.
