Just as the Black Friday creep moves closer and closer to Thanksgiving (this year, some sales started a week before Thanksgiving), Cyber Monday is no longer designated for just one day. Online shopping and Cyber Monday deals are starting earlier.
Here are some stores that are kicking off Cyber Monday early:
Wal-Mart Cyber Monday starts Sunday night
Wal-Mart gets huge hits on Cyber Monday, so it’s kicking things off early to give people a little more time to shop. Cyber Monday sales for Wal-Mart will start on Sunday at 5 p.m. Pacific time. That means you’ll be able to shop and scroll via smartphone or home computer before you even head to work on Cyber Monday.
EBay Cyber Monday begins early
This online marketplace has become a go-to for those looking for a range of products. EBayannounced this year that its long-awaited Cyber Monday deals will start instead on Sunday at 9 p.m. Pacific time. You can sign up for alerts to receive information about what is going on sale. The big items this year will be consumer electronics such as iPads, Nikon dSLR cameras and HDTVs as well as KitchenAid mixers. EBay has leaked some of the products that will be on sale:
- $299.99 for a GoPro Hero4 action camera
- $89.99 for a Hoover cordless stick vacuum
- $50 for a $60 GameStop gift card
- $89.99 for tall Hunter boots
Best Buy has deals for a week
Forget just one day, Best Buy designates a whole week to shopping and saving. According to Best Buy’s website, Cyber Week will start Sunday and will continue through Saturday (Dec. 5). There isn’t a guarantee that the same Black Friday discounts will be available, but items will still be marked down.
J.C. Penney’s Cyber Monday begins Sunday
J.C. Penney is promoting that its online-exclusive sales, traditionally offered only on Cyber Monday, now will be available both Sunday and Monday. The ad promises over 50,000 deals during the two-day online shopping span. The retailer will open its doors at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving, but online shopping will be available all day Thursday.
