Where can you find the best online deal of the day?
It depends. Retailers – BestBuy, Target, WalMart – are pushing one-day and weekly deals on their sites.
But mostly, it depends on what you’re shopping for on a given day and how much time you’re willing to devote to the effort.
Here are five sites where you might start the process.
Pick any one. Plug in a product that you're in the hunt for a deal on.
For example: Looking for a 32 inch HDTV?
Overstock.com is advertising a Panasonic Viera TC-L32X2 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV with iPod Dock for $374.99 today.
Overstock includes a little comparison box with other retailers. This price is a pretty good deal.
But don’t stop there. Cut and paste the TV model into your browser and see what else turns up on the web. Or plug the model into a couple of the online deal sites.
Turns out, Amazon.com is offering the same 32-inch Panasonic Viera HDTV for $344.77.
That's the best price I could find. Can you find a better one?
Many of these sites feature reader input on quality and availability. Like I said, it all depends on how much time you want to devote to this purchase.
And nearly everyone is offering free shipping now.
Happy Shopping.
