Continuity
“Love lives on, and Life unfolds/ Man’s immortality,” concludes today’s poem, which points to Easter’s message of life in God, from whom we can never be separated.
You say he died. Do you not know
That Love is our true Life?
The calm, pure joy of peace divine
Remains, and heals all strife.
Love gone? Life fled? Impossible!
We only wake to see
That Love lives on, and Life unfolds
Man’s immortality.
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.... That Life is God, Jesus proved by his reappearance after the crucifixion in strict accordance with his scientific statement: “Destroy this temple [body], and in three days I [Spirit] will raise it up.” It is as if he had said: The I – the Life, substance, and intelligence of the universe – is not in matter to be destroyed.
