Hurricane Darby forms in the Pacific
Hurricane Darby is located 235 miles south-southwest of Puerto Escondido
Hurricane Darby formed Thursday in the Pacific off the coast of Mexico, packing winds of around 75 miles (120 kilometers) per hour. "Darby is a Category One hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale," the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said in a statement.

Hurricane Darby has formed in the Pacific off Mexico's southwest coast and Hurricane Celia strengthened farther out at sea.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Darby has maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.
Darby is located about 235 miles south-southwest of Puerto Escondido. The Category 1 hurricane is moving west-northwest near 9 mph.
Meanwhile, Celia became a Category 3 hurricane as it headed west over the open Pacific. Its maximum sustained winds increased to 115 mph.
