Halloween house lights: Impressive, as long as you don't live nearby [Video]
Halloween house lights: A family in Riverside, Calif., has turned their home into a Halloween light display that you'll have to see to believe.
Once the province of homemade costumes and the occasional haunted house in someone’s basement, Halloween has become big business. In fact, it has become the second-biggest decorating holiday in the United States (the first being Christmas, of course).
Take the family in Riverside, Calif., who have become famous (though anonymously) on YouTube for their mesmerizing Halloween sound and light shows set to favorites like "Monster Mash" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
This year the featured song is the monster hit "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO (a duo composed of the son and grandson of Motown hitmaker Berry Gordy). Illuminated, dynamic outlines of jack-o'-lanterns "sing" the song in expertly-timed lip sync while the colorful lights flash on and off to the pounding rhythms.
It's an impressive display, but we can see how living across the street from a house like this can get old very quickly.
