Metallica is reportedly coming to 'Craig Ferguson' for a week

The band Metallica is reportedly booked to perform for a week on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” in November.
According to Rolling Stone, the band will be interviewed by Ferguson on Nov. 17 and will perform on the show every night for the rest of the week. Ferguson’s last show is scheduled to air on Dec. 19, according to TV Guide.
“What better way to celebrate Craig's awesome tenure at CBS than to come and shake the rafters for a whole week?" Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "Nothing to sell, nothing to promote (except a reissue DVD)... purely hanging at Craig's personal request. Bring it!”
The reissue DVD to which Ulrich referred is a new version of the Metallica documentary “Some Kind of Monster,” which is being re-released for its tenth anniversary. It’s due to be released on Nov. 24.
When “Monster” was originally released, Monitor film critic David Sterritt awarded it two stars out of four. “The quartet appears to be mightily lacking in the brains and judgment departments, but at least it tries to do something about its failings, employing a traveling psychotherapist whose interventions and ruminations provide some of the film's most unwittingly amusing moments,” he wrote of the film.
After Ferguson departs, “Into the Woods” actor James Corden is set to take over the show. There will be a brief break in between the hosts – Corden will debut in March, according to TV Guide. “The Colbert Report” host Stephen Colbert will take over for David Letterman, who is set to depart “Late Show,” sometime in 2015, according to CBS.
Ferguson took over “Late Late Show” in 2005 after Craig Kilborn departed. “CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are 'consciously uncoupling,'” Ferguson said about his departure in a statement. “But we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much.”
