Kristin Chenoweth thanks fans for 'their prayers'

Kristin Chenoweth, who was released from hospital after being injured on the set of 'The Good Wife, is home resting now. Kristin Chenoweth will have a recurring role as a reporter in the CBS drama.

Actress Kristin Chenoweth is out of the hospital after being injured on the set of the CBS drama "The Good Wife."

Her publicist, Jill Fritzo, said Thursday that Chenoweth was home Thursday recovering after being hit on the head by a piece of set equipment that fell in a gust of wind on Wednesday.

After being treated by medics on the scene, the 43-year-old actress was taken to a hospital.

Fritzo said Chenoweth "thanks everyone for their prayers and good wishes."

CBS said in a statement: "All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery."

A New York City fire department spokesman told CBS News that a woman at that Brooklyn location where 'The Good Wife' was being filmed, suffered minor injuries, but he wouldn't identify her.

Chenoweth won a Tony Award for her role in Broadway's "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and an Emmy Award for her work on "Pushing Daisies." The actress and accomplished singer has also appeared on the TV show 'Glee.'

Chenoweth  has a role in the upcoming film, "Hit and Run," which opens in theaters on Aug. 24.

Chenoweth will have a a recurring role as a reporter on "The Good Wife" in the upcoming season. which starts on Sept. 30.
