Review: 'Quid Pro Quo'

Perverse psychological drama about able-bodied people who yearn to be disabled.

June 14, 2008

If you were a fan of David Cronenberg's "Crash," based on J.G. Ballard's book about people who get sexually excited by auto accidents, you might just be the target audience for "Quid Pro Quo," a perverse psychological drama about able-bodied people who yearn to become disabled. Nick Stahl is the wheelchair-bound public radio reporter who must contend with the dark beauty, played by Vera Farmiga, who envies his condition. Do not enter into this folie à deux. Grade: C- (Unrated.)
