Review: 'Flame and Citron'

Drama follows two Danish resistance fighters during World War II and their fear of infiltrators.

Based, as they say, on a true story, the Danish World War II thriller "Flame and Citron" is a pretty good example of the kind of movie Hollywood used to turn out by the yard. Red-headed "Flame" (Thure Lindhardt) and sad-faced "Citron" (Mads Mikkelsen) are freedom fighters who discover their ranks may be filled with informants. The direction by Ole Christian Madsen is crisp and both lead actors are appropriately edgy. You may recognize Mikkelsen as the chief bad guy with the bloody tears from "Casino Royale." He can play good or bad with equal ease. Grade: B+
