Alouette
A poem

Alouette
In her white eyelet gown,
with her arms and fingers
daintily extended, she glides
across the wooden floor, then
flutters like a lark around the
coffee table and ascends through imaginary
clouds. At noon she will carry
her pink blanket to her nest
and hop in for a nap. Karen Kelsay
