Gumby tries to rob convenience store; wardrobe malfunctions
Gumby, or someone dressed like the iconic television character, attempted to hold up a California convenience store. Trying to keep the Gumby costume on and robbing the store at the same time proved to be too much for the would-be criminal.

In these tough economic times, even would-be convenience store robbers are looking to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack.
And so, a perpetrator tried to rob a San Diego convenience store early Monday morning, dressed as Gumby, the green clay humanoid figure from children's television beginning in the 1950s.
Police say the robber approached the clerk behind the counter and announced his intentions. The clerk replied he was busy cleaning the store and didn't have time for Gumby.
"Gumby said, 'You don't think it's a robbery? Let me show you my gun,'" San Diego Police spokesman Detective Gary Hassen said.
Gumby tried to reach inside his costume to grab something, but could only manage to pull out 26 cents in change, which he promptly dropped on the floor.
The store clerk later told police he didn't report the incident because he thought it was a prank. A store manager later informed San Diego police, who are treating this as an attempted robbery.
Check out the video and remember, he's Gumby.
