The first of six funerals from Saturday's shooting in Tucson is Thursday afternoon — for the youngest victim of the attack, 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green.
Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Tucson.
Christina was born Sept. 11, 2001, and was featured in a book about babies born on 9/11.
The third-grader had just been elected to the student council and had been interested in politics from a young age, which is why she went to see Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Her grandfather, former major-league pitcher Dallas Green, managed the 1980 world champion Philadelphia Phillies. Christina's father, John Green, is a scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
She was the only girl on her Little League baseball team.
