Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre says he might become a coach or do work as a television analyst in the future, though he has no plans to enter either field anytime soon.
The 41-year-old Favre ended a 20-year playing career after an injury-plagued 2010 season with the Minnesota Vikings.
The former Southern Mississippi star has famously wavered on retirement over the last few off-seasons, but the three-time NFL Most Valuable Player told WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg on Thursday that he was "starting a new career."
He submitted his retirement paperwork to the NFL in January.
Favre, in an interview at a football camp at Oak Grove High School, said he's spent the last several months traveling and following Southern Miss baseball.
