Biden: Palin has great personality but has no real influence
Vice President Joe Biden told Larry King Wednesday night that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has a great personality but her sphere of influence was minimal.

Well, Vice President Joe Biden didn't call Sarah Palin a wackjob or anything but he did imply that her level of support doesn't extend far outside what some would call the lunatic fringe (H/T Tom Cochrane).
Biden, appearing on Larry King Live last night, sounded a bit like a college student trying to sell his buddy on a less than appealing blind date when asked about his former foe.
"I like her," he started off confidently. “She’s an engaging person. She has a great personality.”
In college, being described as having a great personality means you have two gills and a flipper. Palin, although presumably not possessing said aquatic organs, has some downsides, Biden explained.
"I don't agree with what she says," he said before beginning to stammer. "And I think some of the things she says, are not, ummm, well, I-I-I-I-I, um, I-I, well, you know... it's sort of like, uh, some of the comments made are so sorta out there, I-I-I, just - don't - know - where they come from."
But outside of that she's awesome.
"If you've met her, she's an engaging person," Biden said. "I understand why people like her."
But those people who do like her? Small potatoes, Biden explained when King asked him if he "feared" her politically.
'Nah, I don't," Biden said.
"Governor Palin appeals to a group of people who are generally frustrated, feel disenfranchised, are very conservative, not all of them…Tea Party people,” he said. “She has appeal beyond that as well, but I don’t know that it represents anything approaching a significant portion of the population.”
