Will Hillary Clinton leave the country if Sarah Palin becomes president?

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday was asked if she would move to Canada if Sarah Palin were elected president.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton laughed when a student asked her if she would leave the country if former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin was elected President of the United States.

Every presidential election year you hear it from someone: "If he gets elected, I'm moving to Canada!"

Usually it's all bluster, and lives go on despite the November results.

While hosting a town hall meeting in Saudi Arabia today, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was asked if she would leave the country if a certain candidate were elected president. Got a guess on who the candidate was?

Even in Saudi Arabia, it's all about Sarah Palin. (see video below)

"Does the prospect of Sarah Palin one day becoming president maybe terrify you?" the student asked. "And if so, would you consider emigrating to Canada or possibly even Russia?"

[Insert "I can see Russia from my house" joke here]

Clinton took it in stride. Although she only answered one of the questions.

“Well, the short answer is no," she said. "I will not be emigrating. I will be visiting as often as I can.”

The AP reports she went on to say:

"It is part of the American political environment that people are always speculating on who will run for president.” And of course, she noted: “I’ve gone through that experience personally, so I’m very well acquainted with it.”

By the way, have you seen the faux Sarah Palin Google commercial? Pretty funny stuff. Check it out here.

We would never leave the country if you were elected president. But if we did, we'd tell you about it first on Twitter.
