Vikings' Metrodome Roof Collapses - again
Vikings fans in Minneapolis reel from major snow storm and the collapse of their Vikings' Metrodome Stadium roof. It's the fifth time the Metrodome roof has collapsed in the stadium's 28-year history.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas – especially inside the Metrodome in Minneapolis.
Home to NFL's Minnesota Vikings, the roof of the Metrodome collapsed early Sunday morning after nearly a foot-and-a-half of snow fell in the Twin Cities region. The latest casualty in the midst of a massive blizzard bearing down on the Midwest, the Metrodome roof gave way about 5 a.m. Sunday morning (see video below). Sunday's Vikings-Giants game has been rescheduled to Monday night at Detroit's Ford Field.
Although the roof collapse at the Metrodome was a spectacular sight (captured by stadium cameras), it is expected to be repaired in time for the Viking's Dec.20th game against the Chicago Bears.

This isnt' the first time the Metrodome roof has sustained injuries of this sort. The inflatable roof collapsed in 1981, before the stadium opened. The next year, after it opened, heavy snow opened up a small tear in the fabric of the roof caused it to collapse again. In the Metrodome's 28-year history, the roof has deflated at least five times, according to the Bleacher Report.
In fact, if this keeps up - we might well begin comparing the Metrodome to its current Minnesota Vikings quarterback, Brett Favre, who is currently nursing the latest in his own string of injuries. But this delay may give him another day to heal, and get back on the field.
