Who's gonna get Randy's love now?
After the Minnesota Vikings loss on Sunday to the New England Patriots, Randy Moss went on a five-minute verbal love-a-thon directed at the New England Patriots.
Moss started by telling the Patriot team captains how much he missed them. Then, he called Bill Belichick the "best coach in football history." Randy turned his adoration for the owner, Robert Kraft and his wife Myra, to the fans in New England who made him "shed a tear" with the ovation he got as he walked off the field.
No, this isn't a soapy daytime drama.
It is "As the World of Randy Moss Turns."
So who will get the love next?
Most New England fans would say, "Hey, we'll take him back!"
Hold on, not so fast. Because the Minnesota Vikings put Moss on waivers, all other 30 teams would have to pass on Moss before New England could reclaim him.
There are a lot of really bad, mediocre, and pretty good teams out there that are going to want him. Drama and all.
Is Randy going to be wearing the aqua blue and partying with LeBron in Miami? The 4-3 Dolphins could use one of the NFL's all-time best wider receivers, right? But does Randy love New England enough to turn down Miami, because that's a deal that would hurt the Patriots, who are in the same division.
How about the NFC West. Pretty much the entire division had trouble at wide receiver on Sunday. The Seahawks, Cardinals, and Rams are all in need. The Cardinals need to fill seats and Randy will do that – one way or another.
How did Minnesota sour on Moss so fast?
In the following days, we will get the real story of the breakup. Someone always gets their heart broken. From the comments on the Minnesota Star Tribune website, it looks like the Viking fans are pining for Randy to stay and Coach Brad Childress to leave.
