College football TV schedule: Miss. State vs. Alabama, Florida St. vs. Miami, Arizona St. vs. Oregon St.

College football TV schedule Nov. 15: These three contests, along with Auburn vs. Georgia, make up part of Saturday's lineup of televised college football games.  

Now that we've reached the mid point of November, college football teams across the country are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, schedule-wise. Most schools have nine or ten games under their belt by now, with two or three remaining plus a potential conference championship game to be played. All to get them to the end-of-year bowl season and for a quartet of schools, a chance at a national championship.

With that in mind, here's this Saturday lineup of big games involving teams ranked by The Associated Press that you can watch on television. No. 1 Mississippi State travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to take on the University of Alabama, ranked fourth this week.

The Bulldogs own a perfect 9-0 record, including an unblemished 3-0 mark on the road this season. Alabama has won 13 consecutive home games, dating back to their last home loss, 29-24 to Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M on Nov. 10, 2012.

This Southeastern Conference game will feature two quarterbacks who can run and throw the ball. Dak Prescott of Mississippi State is a candidate for several post-season awards, having rushed for 779 yards and 11 touchdowns while throwing for 2,231 yards and 18 TDs. Alabama's Blake Sims has rushed for 261 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. Sims has thrown for 2,243 yards and 17 TDs. His favorite target is wide receiver Amari Cooper, who has racked up 1,215 receiving yards and 10 TDs.

You can watch Alabama host Mississippi State on CBS, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time Saturday.

No. 2 Florida State will be on the road Saturday night at Atlantic Coast Conference rival Miami. The last time an unranked Miami team beat a ranked FSU squad was 2009. The Seminoles and Hurricanes can be seen on ABC, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Fifth-ranked Texas Christian travels to Lawrence, Kan., Saturday for an encounter with the University of Kansas. This Big 12 matchup between the Horned Frogs and Jayhawks will be televised on FOX Sports 1, beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern.

Arizona State is ranked seventh this week, fresh off its big win over Notre Dame last Saturday. The Sun Devils return to Pacific 12 Conference play Saturday when they travel to Corvallis, Ore., to take on Oregon State. The Beavers have won four straight against ASU at home. You can watch the Sun Devils and Oregon State on ESPN, beginning at 10:45 p.m. Eastern.

No. 8 Ohio State is coming off a huge win on the road at Michigan State last Saturday. The Buckeyes are on the road again, this time to Minneapolis to meet the University of Minnesota. Gophersports.com reports the last time Minnesota beat Ohio State in Minneapolis was 1981. The Buckeyes and Gophers will be televised by ABC, beginning at noon Eastern.

Another important SEC contest features ninth-ranked Auburn at No. 16 Georgia. The game marks the return of Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley, who had to sit out four games as a NCAA penalty for accepting money for autographing memorabilia and other items. In his four-game absence, Nick Chubb ably rushed for 671 yards and five touchdowns. One year after reaching the national championship game, the Tigers are coming off their second loss of the season last Saturday to Texas A&M. But they still have an outside shot of reaching the SEC championship game. Auburn-Georgia kicks off at 7:15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.

Other games of interest include No. 11 Nebraska at 22nd-ranked Wisconsin, broadcast on ABC at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. No. 12 Michigan State hopes to bounce back from the Ohio State loss when they travel to Maryland, a game that can be seen on the Big Ten Network at 8 p.m. Eastern. And 15th-ranked Notre Dame welcomes Northwestern to South Bend, televised by NBC at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
