Boston Ballet invited to perform in China

An invitation has been extended to the Boston Ballet Company by the Performing Arts Company of the People's Republic of China and by the China International Travel Service to tour China in May and June. Final arrangements are being made, and official details from the ballet company are expected later this week. The projected tour will be the first performances by an American dance company on Chinese soil since the establishment of the People's Republic of China.
