All subscribers need to log in to freely use CSMonitor.com and view as many articles as they would like. If you are a Weekly subscriber but have not yet signed up for digital access, you can register at this link. Once on that page, enter your email. We’ll send you an email verifying your account. Once you have set up your username and password, you can use them to log in anytime you see a login prompt. If you switch browsers or change devices, for example, you’ll need to log in again. Also, you will have to log in again about every 30 days for security reasons.

I have previously logged in but am having trouble logging in again.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open your browser
  2. Go to https://login.CSMonitor.com/logout_all
  3. Click "Return to site."
  4. At this point, you will be redirected to www.CSMonitor.com.
  5. In the upper right corner of the page click "Log in," or if you see a cog gear, click on that to find the login option.
  6. After providing your username and password, you will be redirected to www.CSMonitor.com and will be logged in.

If these steps did not resolve your login issue, please click here to contact our subscriber support team.

Do you have an app?

Not today. But we suggest you bookmark the Daily on your phone or tablet using these instructions. It looks like and functions like an app.

Daily email delivery

I’m a subscriber, but I’m still not receiving the Monitor Daily email. What can I do?

Your Monitor Daily email should arrive around 6:15 pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday. Some email programs try to filter out email that they suspect may be spam. To make sure you receive the email, we advise going to our webpage that describes how to add the Monitor Daily to your "allow list" so that it can get through these spam filters. Additionally, please see the next FAQ if you're a Gmail user. If you’re still having trouble, contact us here.

Why isn't my Daily email in my Gmail inbox?

Gmail is often configured with a tabbed inbox, and some subscribers have found that our messages go into the "Promotions" tab. If you have a tabbed inbox, please check that tab to see whether our messages are being directed there. You can also check spam. You can drag and drop email from a tab into the "Primary" or "Focused" inbox and it may continue to follow that pattern going forward.

I don’t want to receive the Daily email. Is there a way to be excluded from this part of my subscription?

Yes, simply click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the Daily (or any Monitor email that you no longer wish to receive). This will end your email delivery but won’t affect your print magazine delivery if you are a Weekly subscriber. You can also still access CSMonitor.com at any time.

How can I report an error I see in the Monitor or send a comment on a story I read?

If you discover an error or have a comment about our reporting, go to this form. Information you provide will be seen by our editors.

Monitor Weekly

As a Monitor Weekly subscriber, can I access CSMonitor.com and the Monitor Daily email?

Yes, all current subscribers to the Weekly print magazine have unlimited, ad-free access to CSMonitor.com. If you have given us an email address, you’ll start receiving the Monitor Daily – which includes handpicked stories delivered to your inbox each weekday evening (Eastern time), including our editors’ commentary on why we wrote each story plus an audio summary. If you prefer to view these on a web browser, you can access them at CSMonitor.com/Daily. (Make sure you log in to get the benefits described here.)

How do I download the PDF version of the Monitor Weekly magazine included with my magazine subscription?

Go to CSMonitor.com and log in. Then click the Menu (three horizontal bars) on the top left to find the Monitor Weekly digital edition.

Once you see the cover, tap or click on any open area of the Monitor Weekly digital edition to open the reader toolbar and its available features. Then click on the downward-pointing arrow icon at the top right of the page. This will open the PDF copy of the digital edition in a new browser tap. Next, tap on the Share button, which is represented by a square and up arrow at the top of the screen, and select Save to Files. This will download the PDF file to the Files app on your iPad. If you don't already have the Files app on your iPad, you can download it from the App Store for free, and then download the PDF file.

Monitor Weekly print magazine delivery

I’m having trouble with my Monitor Weekly delivery.

I’m a new subscriber

Your first delivery of the Monitor Weekly should arrive 4-6 weeks after you order your subscription if you live in the U.S., longer for international delivery. If you don’t receive your magazine by then, email us at csmonitorcustserv@cdsfulfillment.com or call 800-456-2220. In the meantime, your PDF download can be accessed by going to CSMonitor.com and then log in. If this is your first time logging in, click on “I don’t have a password.” After you’ve logged in, click the three-line menu and the Monitor Weekly digital edition can be found near the top.

I’m an existing subscriber

Since the Monitor is sent by regular mail, we are unable to guarantee a specific delivery date each week. Delays may sometimes occur, but you should receive your issue during the week of the date of issue. Issues are not considered late until the Monday following the date of issue. At that time, please email us at csmonitorcustserv@cdsfulfillment.com or call 800-456-2220. We'll be happy to issue a replacement or extend your subscription for the missed issue.

Why do some issues have two dates?

The Monitor Weekly has four combined issues each year. The periodic combining of issues is a standard practice in the publishing industry and is intended to accommodate staff vacations and acknowledge shifts in readership trends around certain high-vacation weeks throughout the year. As a bonus for our readers, we frequently include an additional or expanded section in these double-dated issues.

Podcast and event information

Is the audio program I hear on the Monitor Daily available as a podcast?

Yes. If you’re an iPhone user, go to the "Podcasts” app on your phone (or download it from the Apple App Store). Search for "Christian Science Monitor Daily" and hit subscribe.

If you’re an Android smartphone user, go to the Google Podcast app (or download it from the Google Play Store). Search for "Christian Science Monitor Daily” and hit subscribe.

You can also download the podcast here:

On Amazon Alexa-enabled devices, say “Alexa, play The Christian Science Monitor Daily podcast.” (Sometimes it does not pull the most current audio file, so it may be better to play it from CSMonitor.com/Daily.)

To listen with a Google Home device, say, "OK, Google, play The Christian Science Monitor Daily podcast.”

How do I access events?

Events are a subscriber benefit. You can find Community Connect events that discuss evidence of progress, and seek real-life examples of resilience, courage, and compassion. The Christian Science Monitor Community Connect is a place to view past online events. If you are interested in attending future events, email events@csmonitor.com.

How do I find an archived article from the print version of the Monitor?

Our 1908-1980 archives are not currently available on CSMonitor.com. There are a two ways to locate an archived article: One, the fastest method is to ask your local library if they have access to ProQuest (an archival search tool) and search there, or two, fill out a research request form from The Mary Baker Eddy Library here: https://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/questions/. They may be able to find what you are looking for, but often have a long backlog of requests.
