Correction

A map with the story "50 million Soviet Muslims: a factor US could exploit?" on Page 3 of the Jan. 22 Monitor inadvertently showed Armenia as one of the Muslim Soviet republics. While there are persons of Muslim origin in the republic, Armenians make up about 80 percent of the population. Historically, the Armenian people have been followers of the Armenian Apostolic (Orthodox) faith.
