Business-builder in New York

Luxembourg has set up a Board of Economic Development in New york to encourage and consult with businesses interested in locating in the grand duchy.

According to Vance Wyckoff, executive director of the board, it is largely geared to small or medium-size companies. Although the board does not use outside consultants or hire public relations people, Mr. Wyckoff says it has employoed receptions, dinners, and cocktail parties to get across its story. The board is presided over by Paul Helminger, the secretary of state for foreign affairs.
