Silence stretches across the hills reverberates over the valley and quickens the sludge of night dreams brandy frosted windowpanes flicker semi-shallowed candles against the swift translucent dark a silver cord among the silences threads the night with star built skies and hems the tyranny of Nero deep in the elegy of phantom fact stirring some lost benediction we choose the rivet and the ploughshare voices meet on bonded channels wave of silent interplay to mediate and nullify and in the burgeons of the night where dreams and covenants incline we light a lamp -- bestow a trust.
