Carter invokes 'security' in plea against Olympics

President Carter has re-emphasized to the US Olympic Committee that he wants its delegates to vote against sending American athletes to the summer games in Moscow, the White House said Tuesday.

In a mailgram sent during the weekend to the committee president, Robert Kane , Mr. Carter said a decision to send a team to Moscow would damage national security.
