More closet space
Apartment dwellers who can boast of plenty of closet space are apt to be the envy of friend and neighbor. Coats, suits, dresses, or shirts that must be jammed into inadequate space are apt to have that slept-in, rumpled look, and mussy clothes inevitably look old before their time.
One simple space extender is a rod hanging from chains at either end. Hang it from the regular closet rod and presto, you've doubled the hanging space.
Reserve one end of the closet for full-length clothing. Place the second rod under the other half and it and the portions above and below can accommodate shorter items such as shirts and skirts, slacks, pants, or children's clothing.
