Your letter and the subsequent information from readers was a delightful response. I confess I thought you'd forgotten all about my question but I am glad you didn't since I think that in these times of energy conservation the hydraulic-ram device could be helpful to many people.

I regret I have no way to thank the New York police officer and some of the others since I don't know their addresses. I shall personally write to Mr. Samson who sent the Chillicothe Gazette clipping.
