Teachers in South Africa seek nonracial association
| Johannesburg
Four hundred black and white South African teachers have formed a pilot group aimed at creating a nonracial teachers' association and working for a system of equal education for all. Meeting here Wednesday night after two months of class boycotts and unrest among mainly Colored (mixed race) students, the teachers set up a committee to lay the groundwork for the National Education Association of South Africa. All existing teachers' associations and students' and parents' groups representing all races will be invited to join.
