A substantial amount of oil was produced from Mobil's test well about 200 miles southeast of St. John's, Newfoundland, Mobil said Tuesday. Hibernia well, tested at a depth of 7,976 to 8,005 feet, flowed at 1,694 barrels of oil a day during tests.
